24th June: Pendennis Castle
It’s Swallow Yachts Raid time! As usual I’m helping with one of the safety ribs. Today, Monday I drove down to Falmouth calling in at the NCI HQ in Liskeard en route where I had a interesting chat with Mike Smith, the National Office Manager.
Arriving around lunchtime at the Greenbank Hotel it was too early to check-in so I drove up to Pendennis Headland to look around the Castle. Returning to the Hotel I took advantage of a free cream tea (offered to returning guests) as a late lunch, and saw the “first Swallow of the Season” sail into, and out of, Falmouth Harbour!
Tomorrow I plan to drive to Sennen Cove.
