Seatern is: a twenty foot BayCruiser (“BC20”) built for me during 2013 in West Wales by Matt Newland’s firm, Swallow Yachts
. She was delivered at the end of the year and I started sailing her in 2014.
I sailed her during the years up to 2019 but in 2020 covid-19 struck and I did not sail. I sailed Seatern a few times in 2021 but in March 2022, as I was preparing Seatern for a sailing season, I contracted covid. By then I had been vaccinated and the illness was only mild, however it left me feeling weak in the legs and my energy levels never recovered to the extent I felt able to sail Seatern. I offered her for sale in 2025 and she sold in the autumn. However it was March 2026 before Seatern left my jetty for a new life in Germany.
This web site describes my adventures with Seatern and some of my other marine related activities, in particular as an NCI Watchkeeper.
