2025: Life Changes
During 2024 I became resigned to not having the energy I had before covid. I’m expecting to sell Seatern during 2025 and to that end I started getting her back in order, including repairs to the aft deck. I was pleased that she is still sound and will look a lot better once I’ve cleaned her up and used boracol on the teak.
So for the future my links with sailing will be mainly watching from the Coastwatch stations. I can’t really complain about that, it is a pleasant occupation and we do serve a useful purpose. Let’s hope the weather is better for photography in 2025. I struggled to put together a 2025 Calendar based on the photos I took from NCI Stone Point in 2024.
….so, that was written at the start of the year. The weather did turn out better… we had a hosepipe ban during the summer. I showed Seatern to various people until finally a buyer was found and on 28th November I offered a “Black Friday deal”! However the sale won’t be fully completed until next year when Seatern is collected.
The last three months of the year were dominated by health problems… a pain in my arm which was due to a nerve in my neck. It was both frustrating and debilitating! Apart from the pain I felt perfectly healthy and there was nothing wrong with my arm except for the pain. But the pain was enough to severely limit what I did during that period.
