22nd Nov: Round Chessel Bay

Having discovered that Chessel Bay was an easy, pleasant walk from home, I was intrigued to find out it it were possible to walk right round the bay edge to the Hazel Road industrial area in Woolston. It turned out that it was! I was interested to see if there was any sign of British Hunter yachts. I’d discussed buying a Hunter 20 before choosing a Swallow Yachts BayCruiser 20 largely on the grounds that Matt offered a more practical solution for lowering and raising the mast to go under Northam Bridge. At that time British Hunter was part of Lauren Marine but it doesn’t look as if they are still an active yacht building concern. If I’d invested money back around 2012 ordering a Hunter 20 I wonder if I’d have got a boat?
