Cowes Day 3: Calm in the morning
On Monday 1st July I arrived at Lepe in the morning to photograph the racing before going on watch at NCI Stone Point in the afternoon. Unfortunately the day started very calm and racing was postponed. We then saw the IRC Class 0 and Cape 31 yachts motoring past Lepe towards the western Solent. With the wind finally setting in from the west, presumably the racing started at the Royal Lymington Yacht Club line.
Since I was on watch in the afternoon I was only able to take a few photos as the yachts returned eastwards. The Cape 31 “Fanatic” features as she planed past the station.
