30th July – 3rd Aug: Cowes Week from Lepe

I booked watches at NCI Stone Point for most of the days during Cowes Week with the idea of turning up early, or staying on later, to get some photos on the days that the racing came past Lepe. There would also be the chance of a few photos while on watch, provided we were not otherwise engaged.

As it turned out I was able to photograph the racing on the Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday whilst not on watch. On the Monday it was calm in the morning and I was only able to get few photos in the afternoon while on watch. On the Thursday and Friday the racing seemed to be mainly in the central or eastern Solent so I didn’t get photographs from Lepe.
