Cowes Day 4: A Variety of Yachts
After the calm and sunshine of Monday, the weather on Tuesday 2nd August was a return to overcast conditions. However there was a good breeze and, in contrast to the IRC yachts and Cape 31’s of previous days, a wider variety of yachts raced past Lepe heading for the western Solent. One Contessa 32 was being followed by a rib proclaiming “Live TV”, presumably being beamed back to the spectators on the Cowes Esplanade.
