30th August: Hinton Ampner

The National Trust had sent me a ticket for up to two adult guests to visit a Trust site for free. It had to be used by the end of August so Zoe and I went to Hinton Ampner and, after a fairly quick look around the house (only the area that they are restoring was open in the upper floor) we wandered around the gardens. By chance Zoe matched the colour scheme of the flowers very well!

In the wooded area is a brick and wooden shed which housed what, until fairly recently, was the water supply for the house and the village.
