29th Aug: SRCMBC Annual Show

A poor photo of “my table”

The annual Solent Radio Controlled Model Boat Club show was held at the Milford-on-Sea Community Centre on Saturday 29th August 2026. Using one of the Neumi mp4 players I contributed a continual video display for the screen behind the stage, including more recent videos from members.

On “my table” I used the HP monitor driven by my old mac-mini to show still photos from the last 5 years or so in random order (the method is described here).  I used my small portable screen alternating between the Donk and Monk video and the NCI Calshot recruiting video, again driven by one of the Neumi mp4 players. Donk and Monk audio was through the portable screen.  For model boats I took along Donk and Monk, North Sea Drifter “Peggy”, HMS Hecla, and the Riva speedboat.

Footfall was better this year (perhaps because it was raining at first!); and the show made £264 for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
