10th-12th June: Richard Mille Cup
This year’s Richard Mille Cup event at Cowes seemed to have fewer vintage sailing craft out on the water. This was possibly because of the changeable weather leading up to the event and continuing during it. Of the three days the Monday (10th June) was windy with 15 knots or more and the yachts were carrying shortened sail. Tuesday’s 10 to 12 knots was more suited for them. Due to strong winds forecast for the end of the week the yachts them left Cowes for France a day early.
