15th March: Put the sails on Seatern
Today (Tuesday) I rigged the sails back on Seatern and cleaned down the decks. After continual mobile westerly conditions, high pressure finally got established at the end of last week. Even on the Wednesday we had a gale with a secondary depression deepening vigorously over southern England. In the northerly cold sector the fender board got hooked up inside the jetty and at some point turned “inside out”. Fortunately the wind was tending to keep Seatern from the jetty so I don’t think any damage was done. Last Saturday I had the SRCMBC model boat exhibition at Highcliffe and on Sunday I was committed to a watch at Calshot.
