The start of September started warm continuing on from a summer which was the equal warmest summer on record. And the hot weather was not confined to the UK – global warming is starting to become evident! Although there was wind and rain for the second half of the Boat Show, there were still some warm sunny days during the latter part of the month.
A full days sail in the eastern Solent going out past Portsmouth and to the edge of Bembridge Ledges. During the day I went close to each of the Solent Forts. On the way back lack of wind meant more motoring than I would have hoped.
