12th June: Hamble Spit
A single tide sail down to Hamble Spit with the new top-down furling asymmetric set. I don’t usually manage to get so far down Southampton Water before turning back for the tide.
Repairs to the lving room roof plus a throat infection were a distraction at the start of the month but at least I managed a couple of good sails.

An early morning start and a northerly wind got Seatern through Hurst Narrows while the ebb was still flowing strongly. Then the wind got up and for the rest of the day it was variable in speed and direction.
