16th May 2018: Tout Quarry, Portland

I’d arranged to take some friends to Tout Quarry on Portland Bill. The weather for the week was generally good but for the Wednesday (16th May) a week front was forecast to bring light drizzle in the late afternoon. We first went to the end of Portland Bill and, soon after we entered the Lobster-pot cafe, the rain started!

It was only a little after noon but the cafe was already full, we were lucky to get a table, but the service was efficient and the food surprisingly good. It was still raining when we got to Tout Quarry so our tour was a bit more rapid and limited than had the weather been better. Nevertheless, it is a nice place to visit. The map is available on the web, I hope they don’t mind me copying it!
