Photo Gallery: the Souks
The entrance to the Souk is off the Jemaa el Fna. Actually one should say “Souks” since the area is divided according to merchandise type. We avoided the “guides”, mainly young boys, who offer to show you around the souk, at least until near the end of our stay when we felt we had a reasonable idea of the layout.
The guide that we finally employed offered to show us the “Berber market” and took us around the souk and then into a room. He said something in a language we didn’t understand to one of the men who, obviously following instructions, told us that this was the Berber market! However our guide did help us in buying a leather bag for Nicky, if I remember correctly.
