Calshot NCI: Photos July – Dec 2017
Most of these photos were taken with a good quality DSLR camera with a general purpose zoom lens. Some were taken with a telephoto zoom lens. A few were taken using an iPhone.
30th July: The Argentine Navy Flagship ARA Libertad sailing for Barcelona. The USS George HW Bush as seen from Calshot Tower. It’s Cowes Week so SP has two outriders with her!
6th August: For photos of the start of the Fastnet race taken from Calshot Tower and from the Spit see the Diary Entry
13th August: BC23 no. 46 and lug sailed day boat.

3rd September: The oil supply ship Ievoli Cobalt.
10th September: Rough weather! The sail training ship “Prolific”; a lone yachtsman; the survey ship Solent Guardian; the military supply ship “Anvil Point”; and the view from the Tower towards the end of the day!
16th September: Old Gaffers rally; drilling rig, ordnance exploded at Warsash.
24th September: Swallow Yachts BayCruiser 23 sail no. 46

17th December: The “Calshot front” showing up clearly; plus is this the “fishing boat” moored below Northam Bridge? Two egrets seem to have adopted the Castle moat!
